PowerPoint Slideshows

Part 1. Downloading and opening the files, research questions, fixed-effects vs. random-effects, computing the overall effect size.

Part 2. Heterogeneity (Q, I-squared and tau-squared) and graphs (forest plot and funnel plot).

Part 3 Categorical and continuous moderators (covariates) with illustrative graphs, and sensitivity analysis.

Excel and CMA Files

My school prevents posting files with most extensions to their server. I can post .xls files, but not .cma or .R. Those files are posted to my Github account. So when you click them, instead of downloading the file, you will exit this page to my Github account to download the file. Then you have to come back here. Sorry. I have tried to get permission to post all the files here, but no.

Input Exercise.xlsx. Data used to show how to input standardized mean differences data into CMA. The data show different bits of information for different studies, so you have to insert multiple columns to end up with a common effect size.

Prediction Interval Calculator.xls. An Excel file used to calculate prediction intervals from CMA output. You must run a random-effects model in CMA before you can use this.
